Shanaz is a highly respected Licensed Professional Counselor, trauma expert, and social justice advocate who is passionate about supporting women, new parents, and young professionals as they navigate life's challenges. With a background rich in therapeutic approaches, including trauma-informed care, brainspotting, and culturally responsive therapy, Shanaz has built her career on helping individuals break free from generational trauma and embrace their authentic selves.

Shanaz holds a Master of Science in Counseling from the University of North Texas and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Texas at Dallas. Her extensive experience includes individual therapy and corporate wellness consulting, where she brings her clinical expertise to enhance workplace culture, promote diversity, and create inclusive, trauma-informed environments.

At Circle Birth, Shanaz's holistic and intersectional approach to mental health aligns perfectly with our mission to provide comprehensive, compassionate care for families. Her work in perinatal and postpartum mental health is particularly impactful, as she helps new parents build emotional resilience and find balance during one of the most transformative periods of their lives.

We are authorized to accept HSA/FSA cards, all credit/debit cards, Paypal, Venmo and Zelle! We can work with Carrot, TRICARE, and a few other insurance providers. Please reach out for more information.
